About Qizuno
Who this site is for, what we refuse to do, how we make money from referral links, and where to reach us.
Qizuno writes for people who have decided to buy crypto and have not done it yet.
What we cover
One question, in pieces: how does someone with no experience open an exchange account, get verified, put money in, and make a first trade without losing it to a mistake or a scam.
We start with eligibility, because that is where English-language guides tend to be useless. A guide that walks you through ten screens is worth nothing if the exchange blocks your country on screen eleven. Binance's international site does not accept US residents. Binance has left Canada and the Netherlands. OKX blocks Canada, Hong Kong, India, Japan and Malaysia outright. Any guide that skips this is wasting your evening.
What we don't do
We don't call prices, and we don't tell you which coin to buy. Anyone who claims to know what happens next is guessing; the only difference between them is whether they admit it.
We don't invent numbers. Fee tiers, verification limits, regional availability and promotion terms all change. Where we quote a figure we say when we measured it and point you at the page that holds the current version. If a number matters to your decision, check it yourself before you act on it.
We don't invent people. Articles are signed "Qizuno Editorial". We are not going to attach a fictional twelve-year trading veteran to a page to make it feel more authoritative.
How we get paid
We earn referral commission when readers sign up to an exchange through our links. That is the entire business model, and you should know it before you read anything else here.
Three things follow from that, and we would rather say them than have you work them out:
It costs you nothing extra. The commission comes out of what the exchange pays referrers, not out of your account. Whether you also get a fee discount depends on whether the referrer has switched on commission sharing — read what the sign-up page tells you at the time rather than what any article promises.
It is a conflict of interest, and a real one. We make money when you open an account, which gives us a reason to make opening an account sound easier and safer than it is. The check on that is publishing the criteria and letting you apply them yourself. If you run through how to choose an exchange and reach a different conclusion from ours, yours is the one that counts.
It is not universal. We earn nothing from Binance.US, which is the platform US residents actually have to use — which is why we can tell you plainly that our Binance material does not apply to you if you are in the States.
Our current codes: Binance BN68L (sign-up page) and OKX OK0012 (sign-up page).
Things change, and we will be behind sometimes
Crypto regulation moves faster than we can revise. Availability by country, verification requirements and fee structures can all change within months. We update published articles when we notice, but we cannot promise anything here is current. For anything operational, the exchange's own page at the moment you are reading it beats us.
Risk
Crypto prices move violently and can fall a long way in a short time. Everything here is process and information, not investment advice. Put in only what you could lose entirely without it changing your life.
Getting hold of us
Corrections, stale information, or a step we explained badly:
Corrections are the most useful mail we get. Telling us we are wrong beats telling us we are good.
